ABOUT THE SINGLE:
The melody and words for the choruses of Choirs of Angels suddenly came to me in the middle of June 2019. I was sitting in the kitchen, and knew right away this was a song idea I wouldn't and shouldn't forget. I quickly recorded it on my cell phone, and for the next few months the chorus kept popping up in my head. In October, when sitting down to finish writing and to arrange the song, the verses came to me just as fast as the chorus. I never planned or thought much about it at all. The final result was recorded and mixed in November 2019. I played all the instruments, and did both the lead and backing/choir vocals. I am happy to share this song and it's message to whoever may listen.

MUSIC VIDEO
I was originally planning on making a music video built around clips of myself singing the song in the studio, mixed with images and old movie scenes related to the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem. However, to gain full focus on the Christmas message, I ended up with a video showing the lyrics, sentence by sentence throughout the whole song, combined with clips from two old movies inspired by The Gospel of Luke, chapter 2. I simply decided to save the rest of the ideas for a future music video. I hope you like the result, which is my attempt to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ with respectful joy.

THE LYRICS
The lyrics are highly inspired by and based on the Bible's story in Luke chapter 2. It's a story I've heard over and over again since I was a small boy, but it has never stood out as powerful and monumental in it's simplicity as after I wrote "Choirs of Angels" and made it's music video. The son of God, the Saviour of mankind, the King. Born in a stable without the riches and glory of man, but with everything else of true, everlasting value which is not money or wealth, neither status or position. There is a lot to learn from just that.
